Method & assumptions
Round each quantity × price to two-decimal minor units, sum line totals, round one tax charge, and add it. Quantities: 0.001–100,000; prices: 0–10,000,000.
Worked example
Two units at 50 with 10% tax produce subtotal 100.00, tax 10.00, and total 110.00.

Questions, answered
Can seller or item text inject HTML?
No user markup is accepted: every text field is escaped into a fixed template with a restrictive content security policy and no scripts or external resources. This uses two decimals for every currency and is not a jurisdiction-specific compliant accounting system.
Does this send my input to a server?
No. This engine processes input locally without network requests. The surrounding website may have its own analytics or scripts; avoid entering sensitive material on an untrusted site. Text fields accept at most 1,000,000 UTF-16 units unless a smaller field limit is stated.
